～Alohaに感謝～　ハワイで初ボランティア！？？(First volunteer event in HAWAII)

なんか最近手をつなぎながら歩いてるカップルが急増してきていて、せめて僕の前を歩く時だけはそれやめてー😭って思いながら日々歩いているホヌとじゅうにじです！！

(The number of couples who hold hands while waiking is increasing rapidly, and I always think "please stop do that at least walking in front of me!" I'm Honutojuniji who always think like this while walking.)

ところでなんですけど、みなさんボランティアに参加されたことありますでしょうか？？

(By the way, have you ever participated in some volunteer programs?)

でも最近ボランティアって結構増えてきましたよね～！！街中でもボランティアのポスターを結構見るし、SNSでもたくさんボランティアについての記事が投稿されていますよね！

(However, the number of volunteer programs is increasing, right? I oftern see lots of posters of volunteer, and many articles about volunteer are being posted on SNS.)

ちなみに僕は日本でしたことありませんでした。。。

(For me, I had never done it in Japan.)

でもなんかボランティアに参加してみたいなと思っていたところに、ハワイにいる時に通っていた学校のアクティビティーの一環として、とあるボランティア活動に参加してきました。

(I was wondering that I wanted to try ro participate in volunteer, then when I was in Hawaii, I got a chance to do it as an activity of my school.)

それが

(It was)

献血！！

(Blood Donation!!)

日本でさえ献血をしたことがなかったのに、異国の地で初の献血をすることを決意しました。

(I had never donated my blood in japan, but I decided to do my first time in different country.)

今回行ったのがこちら！

(This is where I went to.)

~Blood Bank of Hawaii~

僕がハワイにいた時、コロナパンデミックのせいでハワイ州の血液供給が危機的に不足している状態でした。

(When I was in Hawaii, serious shortage of blood supply had been happened in Hawaii because of corona pandemic.)

アロハに恩返しをするためにこれはせなあかん！と思い、献血に参加することを決めました。

(I decided to participate in blood donation to return the favor to ALOHA.)

施設に入ると、書類記入や問診が行われ、いざ採血ルームへ！！

(After entering into the facility, I prepared documents and had a medical consulation. Then, I went to drawing blood room.)

ってゆってもめちゃくちゃオープン（笑）

(It was a really open room tho lol)

献血センターの2階のど真ん中に採血するところがあり、壁など何もないので周りの人たちに見られる一方でした（笑）

(There was a blood collection room in the middle of second floor in the blood donation centre, and it didn't have any walls and people around this room were always staring at me lol)

（針などは使いまわしではないのでご安心を！！！）

(Please rest assured that needles are not reuse one!!)

数10分間ずっとその写真の体勢で待ち、担当スタッフと話しながら終了まで待ちました。

(I was in the same posture for several tens of minute and I was waiting to finish while talking with a staff in charge.)

いざ終了し、採取したものを見ると、予想よりも大量にとられていてまあまあビックリしました（笑）

( After finishing collecting my blood and I tried to check the blood container, I was a little bit surprised because the amount of blood in the container was much more than I expected.lol)

しかも初の献血で初回には適していないであろう量を取られたので、献血後正直ふらふらしていました。今思えばまあまあ危なかったですよね（笑）

( And the amount that I was taken was not suitable for the first time collection, so I had been feeling dizzy after blood collection. Right now, I think it was dangerous lmao)

採血する場所から離れ、最後に採取したものと記念撮影！！

(Finally, I left the collection room, and took some pics with my blood!!)

記念撮影が終わり、15分間安静にせなあかんってことで椅子にて待機。ジュースやお菓子が用意されていました！

(After taking commemorative photos, I took a rest for about 15 min on the seat, and I was served some snacks and juice!)

お菓子食べて、ジュースを飲んでたらあっちゅうまに15分経ち、人生初の献血が終わりました。

(I ate some snacks and drunk juice then, 15 min had already pasted before I realized it. And my first blood donation was done)

帰り道、ふらふら状態が少し悪化していたので、家に帰るのは一旦やめ、水だけ買って、近くにあるワイキキビーチに行ってゆっくりしていました（どんだけ海好きやねん！！ってね）（笑）

(On the way to my home, I felt more serious dizzy so I changed my plan. I decided to go to buy a bottle of water and go to Waikiki beach.)

1時間ぐらいゆっくりし、無事に帰宅しました。

(I took a reast for about 1h and went back to my home safely.)

～初めての献血の感想は？～(How did I think about my first blood donation?)

不安だらけでしたが、いざしてみると案外いけるなと思いました。確かに血を抜くことに抵抗はありますが、全然日本でもまた是非したいなと思う感じでした。ただ最後のふらふら感だけがちょっと怖いですけど（笑）

(I was full of uneasiness, but I thought I had not needed to feel like this after finishing. Certainly, I don't like drawing blood but my first time blood collection in Hawaii made me want to do it again in Japan. But I'm afraid of feeling dizzy.)

でも今回、Alohaに恩返しをすることができて本当に良かったなと思います。みなさんもハワイに行かれた際も、日本でも、少しでも献血に興味があれば是非やってみてください！

(In this time, it was really nice because I could return the favor to ALOHA. Guys in Hawaii and Japan, if you are interested in blood donation, PLEASE TRY TO DO THAT!!)
